Today’s Episode: Teju Faces Humiliation, Neil Takes a Stand, and Rituraj Boils with Jealousy
The episode opens with an air of celebration in the Pradhan family household. Everyone is preparing for the post-wedding rituals of Neil and Teju. The atmosphere seems festive, and as Teju walks downstairs, all eyes turn to her. Amruta compliments her appearance, telling her she looks absolutely beautiful. Trying to ease the tension, Amruta also reassures Teju not to feel upset about the incident during the Gruhpravesh ceremony. She wants Teju to feel comfortable and accepted. Prachi joins in, agreeing with Amruta and urging Teju to forget the past and focus on the present, since today is about the sacred post-wedding traditions.
Just as the mood begins to settle, Rituraj interrupts the moment with a sharp comment. He points out that not everyone is present and mentions that Leena has locked herself in her room—all because of Teju. He says it in a bitter tone and walks away, leaving a bit of awkwardness behind.
As Neil and Teju prepare to begin the rituals, the situation takes another uncomfortable turn. Leena appears and delivers a cutting remark, accusing Neil of proceeding with marriage rituals without his mother’s presence. Neil calmly replies that he had tried to involve her, but she chose to stay away by locking herself in the room. Leena isn’t convinced. She blames Neil, saying if he could forget his own mother so easily, then she must have failed in raising him. Her words sting, and Nandini pleads with her to stop, hoping to calm the situation. But Leena lashes out again, accusing everyone of being heartless while her son has supposedly ruined his life.
This is when Teju bravely steps forward. With dignity, she asks Leena why she believes Neil ruined his life by marrying her. Teju explains that Neil had full control over his decision to marry, while she didn’t even have a choice. Leena accuses her of being dramatic and insists Teju gave consent. But Amruta steps in again, defending Teju and confronting Leena for her cruel behavior. Amruta is so hurt by the way Teju is being treated that she threatens to leave the ceremony altogether. Leena retaliates with another insult, but Amruta refuses to back down. She then turns to Bhushan, asking whether the rituals will continue or not. Bhushan firmly declares that the wedding has already taken place and he wants no more unnecessary drama.
With that settled, the rituals begin. Family members apply haldi (turmeric) to Neil and Teju, then pour water over them as part of the traditional bathing ceremony. Laughter and joy fill the room, bringing back the lightness of the occasion.
Amruta then introduces a fun ritual—Neil has to hold a piece of coconut in his mouth, and Teju has to eat it without using her hands. Neil hesitates and says he’ll only do it if Teju agrees. Teju stays quiet, but their relatives take her silence as a yes and begin teasing the newlyweds. Eventually, Teju goes along with the ritual and eats the coconut, creating a sweet moment between her and Neil.
Rituraj watches from a distance, jealousy burning in his eyes. He believes that Teju married Neil just to prove him worthless. He’s bitter, angry, and still holding on to the belief that Teju made a terrible mistake by leaving him.
Later, Amruta hands Neil a saree and asks him to bless Teju with it, symbolizing support and acceptance. Neil agrees with a smile and tells Teju that he will always support her dreams, no matter what. It’s a heartfelt promise that touches everyone around them.
But Rituraj, unable to let go of his resentment, tries to poison the moment with a sly comment. He says that every girl has a boyfriend before marriage and that Neil should be aware of Teju’s past. Neil, however, doesn’t lose his cool. He replies with maturity, saying boys also have girlfriends before marriage, and if he were to marry, he would openly share his past with his wife. Rituraj is silenced but tries to cover it up with sarcasm, saying he’ll give Neil all the details about his exes since Teju is now “his responsibility.” Jeetu, who overhears this, mocks Rituraj, exposing his petty behavior.
In the final segment, Amruta tells Teju to touch Neil’s feet and seek his blessings, which is a common tradition. Teju hesitates, and Leena seizes the opportunity to make another rude remark. But Neil defends Teju again, telling his mother to let go of the bitterness. Eventually, Teju touches Neil’s feet, and Neil gently blesses her once more, saying again that he will always be by her side and help her fulfill her dreams.
As the day wraps up, Prachi asks the couple to go rest in their room, but Rituraj interferes once more, reminding everyone that they cannot stay together until all post-wedding rituals are completed. Neil calmly agrees. He tells Teju to rest in their room, while he will sleep in the guest room, and then he walks away, leaving the audience with a sense of quiet strength and emotional maturity.
