Full Story Summary
Isivhumelwano story follows Sayali, also known as Tanvi, a kind-hearted and optimistic girl raised in an orphanage. Despite her humble upbringing, she has a bright and compassionate personality. One day, fate brings her into contact with her biological father, Raviraj, though neither of them realizes their true connection. Meanwhile, Arjun, a wealthy yet humble man, works as a top criminal lawyer. He carries the weight of past trauma, including the betrayal and loss of a close friend at the hands of Sakshi, leaving him wary of love and marriage.
Sayali seeks a lawyer to defend Madhubhau, who has been wrongly accused of murdering Vilas—a crime actually committed by Sakshi with Priya’s help. Arjun’s family, meanwhile, has arranged his engagement to Priya, who pretends to be “Fake Tanvi.” Arjun, determined to avoid marriage, despises the idea of love after the betrayals of his past. Nevertheless, he agrees to take on Sayali’s case on the condition that she enters a one-year contract marriage with him.
Sayali consents, and the two quietly marry at a temple on the day of Arjun’s engagement. Upon returning to the engagement venue, Arjun boldly announces their marriage, halting the engagement, and Sayali moves into his home. There, they maintain the appearance of a happily married couple before his family.
Meanwhile, Priya, Sakshi, her father Mahipat, and Raviraj’s brother Nagraj conspire to sabotage Sayali and Arjun, aiming to derail the Madhubhau case. During these schemes, it is revealed that years ago, Nagraj had orchestrated a fake accident intended to kill Raviraj, Pratima, and Tanvi. Despite the danger around them, Sayali and Arjun continue to maintain their facade of a loving couple, though neither initially has genuine feelings for the other. Over time, Arjun begins to notice Sayali’s sincerity, courage, and kindness, and he gradually falls in love with her.
Sayali’s good nature and resemblance to Pratima win over the family’s admiration. However, the villains continue their plots, culminating in Sayali being stabbed on Visarjan day. Arjun rushes her to the hospital, and unbeknownst to the family, Pratima donates her blood to save Sayali. The conspirators, Asmita and Priya, create further complications by falsifying reports that Sayali is pregnant, adding tension to the household.
Throughout these challenges, Sayali continues to demonstrate her strength and warmth. She senses Pratima’s guiding presence during Laxmi Poojan and is impressed by Arjun’s determination and integrity, particularly when he brings Madhubhau home safely on Padva. Through her compassion and actions, Sayali helps Arjun regain faith in love and marriage. Though he develops deep feelings for her, he struggles to express the depth of his emotions, leaving their relationship filled with subtle romance, tension, and unspoken affection.
