Gauri meets Charu, and the two share an affectionate hug. Charu is taken aback to learn that Gauri left home, while Gauri finds out Rekha isn’t around. Just as they’re about to open up to each other, Gauri asks Charu to fetch 40 vada pavs while she makes tea. Meanwhile, Vihaan arrives, bumping into Charu and is surprised to hear Gauri’s strange food request.
Vihaan steps into the house as Gauri, thinking Charu has returned, begins pouring out her anger. Weak and famished from not eating for two days, Gauri collapses, but Vihaan catches her. At the same time, Harsh gets a call that the groom’s family is on the way to meet Gauri. Back at home, Veena anxiously waits for Vihaan to bring Gauri, while Rashmi warns she’ll leave with her kids if he doesn’t.
Vihaan begs Gauri to return for Sandhya’s mu dikhai ceremony, but Gauri firmly refuses. She says she won’t be used as a pawn for a manipulative woman and tells him to find a simpler family for Sandhya. Remembering how he once forced Gauri into marriage, Vihaan walks away silently, with Charu witnessing the moment.
Meanwhile, at home, Sunheri suddenly screams, shattering glass and startling everyone. Harsh and Arjun threaten her with holy water, but she claims her message has already reached her allies. Sandhya’s in-laws arrive, mocking her clothes and scolding Rashmi for not inviting them to Vihaan’s wedding, though they still want to meet the new bride.
Charu later asks Gauri about Vihaan, but Gauri snaps back, saying he’s not her brother-in-law and reminds Charu of the pain he caused. Charu insists she has something crucial to share.
As Vihaan returns without Gauri, he suggests delaying the ceremony and faking Gauri’s illness. Just then, Sandhya’s in-laws spot the supposed bride descending the stairs. Veena realizes it’s Savita didi pretending to be Gauri. Rashmi introduces her as the new daughter-in-law, but Babita demands to see her face. Veena quickly intervenes, urging them to start the rituals while silently praying for strength to handle the growing mess.
