The episode begins with Arshi entering the room and noticing Anirudh. She immediately starts mocking him. Anirudh calmly tells her he only came to collect his clothes. Arshi looks at him with suspicion and questions if he’s thinking about coming back to stay. She says just talking to him makes her feel sick. Anirudh replies that if she’s so uncomfortable, she doesn’t need to live with him. Arshi angrily says she’ll leave his house, but she won’t let him live peacefully. Anirudh asks her to stop creating more problems and start thinking about her own happiness. Arshi bursts out, asking how he can live with Jhanak while still being her legal husband. Anirudh stays calm. He says he’s not ashamed of it and reminds her that she isn’t innocent either. He hints that he knows something happened between her and Siddharth.
Arshi defends herself, saying she hasn’t done anything wrong. Anirudh says he isn’t blaming her, but it’s better if they both stop fighting and move on. He suggests that she can have a good life with Siddharth, and he will find peace with Jhanak. Arshi accuses him of trying to bring Jhanak into their home. Anirudh replies that he doesn’t need a particular house to be with Jhanak — he can stay with her anywhere.
Arshi angrily says he can’t marry Jhanak unless she agrees to give him a divorce. Anirudh says their relationship is already over, and she knows it too. He warns her that Siddharth won’t wait for her forever. Arshi blames him for ruining everything. Anirudh asks why she didn’t leave him earlier then. Arshi says she’ll be happy with Siddharth and says Anirudh will never be happy with Jhanak. Anirudh softly replies that if she becomes happy, that’s enough for him. When she asks what he truly wants, he says he only ever wished for both of them to be happy. He believes that Arshi really does love Siddharth.
Meanwhile, Bablu goes to visit Appu at her place. Appu tells him that Anirudh left the house because of Arshi. She says she misses Anirudh and Jhanak a lot and wishes to see them again. On the other side, Dadi is anxious because Lalon hasn’t come back yet.
Lalon, on the other hand, meets Kajol and asks her why she has stopped visiting his house. Kajol tells him she’s busy and doesn’t see the need to come every day. Lalon reminds her of something she once said — that she felt like ending her life. Kajol cuts him off and asks why that matters to him now. Lalon says the young girls in the basti look up to her. She’s educated and has made something of herself. Kajol tells him to stop following her and to leave her alone. Dadi overhears them and starts to think that Lalon has feelings for Kajol.
Back at home, Mrinalini sees Choton and wonders why he hasn’t left for his exam yet. Choton doesn’t want to tell her that he still plans to go. Mrinalini brings it up anyway and reminds him again. Choton dismisses her. Mrinalini says he’s changed a lot, and Choton admits that life forced him to change. He says maybe getting married to her was a mistake. Mrinalini is heartbroken. She says he destroyed all her dreams and proved he never truly loved her.
Choton says if that’s what she thinks, then let it be the truth. Mrinalini asks what he actually wants. Choton tells her she thinks uneducated people are useless, and that he feels like he’s lost his self-respect. Mrinalini says all she ever wanted was for him to study more. Choton doesn’t want to argue and asks her to let things go. Mrinalini tells him to go back to his friends and waste time like always. Choton replies that he only goes out to get away from their endless fights.
She tells him to stay home and says she will be the one to leave. Choton tells her he won’t stop her if that’s what she wants. Mrinalini calls him a fool and says she regrets trying to change him. Choton quietly says at least she’s finally saying it out loud. He asks her to walk away from his life. Mrinalini feels broken inside and after the fight, she regrets her harsh words. She still has strong feelings for him.
Bipasha meets Sarveshwar, and he confronts her. He accuses her of being disloyal. Suddenly, Arshi tells Anirudh that she doesn’t want a divorce anymore. Anirudh replies that he already knows what she told Siddharth at the hospital. He tells her clearly that he wants to be with Jhanak now. Arshi asks if his parents would ever accept Jhanak. Anirudh says they won’t — and that’s why he will live with Jhanak somewhere else.
Arshi finally agrees to the divorce and says Siddharth is a much better person than Anirudh. She says she deserves someone like him. Anirudh doesn’t argue. Arshi then admits that what truly hurt her was being betrayed by Anirudh. He gently says it’s time to stop fighting and let go of all the pain. Arshi angrily says she’ll show him that she can be completely happy without him. She adds that he means nothing to her anymore. Anirudh quietly says he really hopes she finds happiness. Then he picks up his bag and walks out, leaving Arshi behind.
