The episode opens with Aniruddh asking Jhanak if she still trusts him. Jhanak replies that she has already given her life to him, so how could she not trust him? Aniruddh gently reminds her that they’re now married, but Jhanak says that society does not recognize their marriage. He insists that their emotions matter more than society’s approval. Jhanak, however, believes they are bound by social norms and refuses to let society look down on him. Aniruddh argues that life is short and they shouldn’t care about what others think. Jhanak begs him to stop speaking this way, saying his words make her vulnerable.
Aniruddh admits he knows she is emotionally attached to him. He embraces her and expresses his own deep pain. Jhanak acknowledges the sacrifices he’s made for her and his silent tears. Aniruddh reveals that fate brought them together again, and that’s why he ended up at that bar. He confesses he went there to drown his sorrow. Feeling desperate and broken, he says he doesn’t want to lose her again. Jhanak, seeing him like this, asks why he’s become so weak. Aniruddh accuses her of leaving him because she didn’t truly love him. He asks her to promise that she won’t leave the house. Jhanak agrees to stay for a few days. As they sit in silence, they recall their past memories and share an intense eye-lock.
Meanwhile, Choton tells Mrinalini that she’s changed her opinion about him. Mrinalini admits she just wanted him to study and improve himself. Choton accuses her of trying to shape him in her own image. He believes good character doesn’t come from education alone. Mrinalini disagrees, saying education is essential. Choton says he only agreed to appear for exams to make her happy. Mrinalini tells him not to do anything just for her sake. She suggests they stop discussing studies and let him choose his own path.
Choton claims he’s a simple man. Mrinalini argues that life without a goal is difficult, especially when others constantly disrespect him. She asks if he ever feels hurt by his family’s insults. Choton responds that he’s strong enough not to be affected. He also says their marriage wasn’t his choice. Mrinalini highlights the difference between educated and uneducated people. Choton admits he doesn’t match her level and questions the point of proving himself when respect is still out of reach. He silently decides to take the exams, but without any help from her.
Back with Jhanak and Aniruddh, Jhanak confesses she cannot be happy if it means destroying Arshi’s happiness. Aniruddh tells her Arshi has been spending time with Siddharth. He adds that he hasn’t questioned Arshi’s behavior because he wants her to be happy. He reveals that Arshi is no longer interested in him and is only trying to hurt Jhanak out of revenge. Jhanak finds it hard to believe, but Aniruddh insists there’s no love left between him and Arshi. Jhanak gently takes his hand and urges him to calm down. Aniruddh lays his head on her lap, saying he just wants a peaceful sleep for once. He asks her if they could marry if Arshi divorces him. Jhanak hesitates, saying it’s a serious matter. Aniruddh assures her that he’ll support her and give her the status of his wife publicly. He begs her to say yes, so they can finally be together. Jhanak agrees—but only if Arshi lets go of him completely. Aniruddh pulls her into a hug.
The next morning, Jhanak wakes up to find Aniruddh still peacefully sleeping on her lap.
Elsewhere, Anjana voices her concern to Mrinalini, stating that Aniruddh is still married to Arshi and shouldn’t be close to Jhanak. Mrinalini defends Aniruddh, saying Jhanak needs his support right now. She also opens up about her own argument with Choton.
Meanwhile, Tanuja instructs Bipasha to go and bring Arshi. When Bipasha enters Arshi’s room, she is shocked to find a bottle of sleeping pills nearby. In a panic, she calls out for help. The entire family rushes in as Bipasha checks Arshi’s pulse.
