The episode begins with Bablu expressing his hope that Aniruddh will get a divorce soon and marry Jhanak. He adds that since Arshi left the house, the divorce will be easier. Mrinalini says they’re ready to start preparations for the wedding. Jhanak asks if it was Arshi’s final decision, and Aniruddh reassures her that he won’t change his mind, even if Arshi doesn’t agree to divorce. Bablu says Arshi is ready for the divorce, which is why she left. Jhanak asks them what they would like to drink.
Aniruddh tells them not to ask for juice because it’s healthy, not tasty. Jhanak mentions she cooked upma, and Bablu says it’s his favorite. Anjana says she taught Jhanak how to cook upma, and Bablu teases that the student has surpassed the teacher. Anjana offers to help Jhanak in the kitchen, but Jhanak insists she’s already cooked and asks Anjana to rest. Mrinalini tells Jhanak to pack her bags. Aniruddh asks if everyone has given their approval. Bablu reassures him that he has already spoken to everyone and that no one will insult Jhanak in the Bose house.
Mrinalini advises Jhanak to stand up against injustice and not tolerate anything wrong. Jhanak says she will stay there. Mrinalini tells her that Arshi is living with Siddarth and that Aniruddh has chosen Jhanak. She asks Jhanak to trust Aniruddh, promising they will make the marriage memorable. She adds that today, they will take Aniruddh and Jhanak to the Bose house.
Meanwhile, Apu reads the letter Kajol wrote for her, making Kajol emotional. Apu says she won’t go to the hospital today, but Kajol insists Apu will be fine till tomorrow, when Apu no longer needs to visit the hospital. Apu expresses a desire to meet Jhanak and asks Kajol to leave when she passes away. Kajol tells Apu not to speak like that, feeling the need to fight for Apu but also recognizing her as a special part of her life.
Jimli feels that she was once Kajol’s favorite, but now Apu holds that place. Kajol explains how pure Apu’s love is. Lalon says Kajol has given everything for Apu. He mentions he is getting late for work and Apu tells him to go but asks Kajol not to leave. Lalon reassures Apu that Kajol loves her the most. Apu disagrees but Kajol says Lalon’s love gives Apu strength. Lalon looks at Apu, and she smiles back.
Later, Aniruddh arrives at the Bose house with Jhanak. Mimi is thrilled to see Jhanak and hugs her. Aniruddh tells his parents that he didn’t want to come because he knew they might insult Jhanak in his absence. He asks them to be clear about their stance. Shubhankar reminds Aniruddh that Arshi is still his wife. Aniruddh responds, acknowledging that Jhanak isn’t there as his wife yet but will be soon.
Amitabh says Jhanak is the best choice for Aniruddh and gives his approval for their marriage. Jhanak takes Amitabh’s blessings. Aniruddh asks if Arundhati has anything to say. Arundhati reveals that she doesn’t believe her opinions matter and states that she won’t accept Jhanak. Bablu urges Aniruddh to set a date for the divorce and marriage. Anjana says Jhanak will change the house and Aniruddh’s life for the better. Jhanak takes blessings from Aniruddh and Anjana.
Aniruddh asks his parents if they won’t accept his marriage. Tanuja says they will accept it for Aniruddh’s sake, while Choton says that Arshi and Aniruddh have chosen their own paths. Aniruddh insists that the marriage will happen. Shubhankar questions why Aniruddh needs his parents’ approval when he has many supporters. Amitabh offers to talk to the priest about setting a marriage date. Tanuja then asks what will happen if the divorce doesn’t happen before the wedding date. Aniruddh says he will talk to Arshi. Tanuja blames Jhanak for Arshi’s departure, but Jhanak denies responsibility. Aniruddh threatens to leave the house if they continue insulting Jhanak. Tanuja asks if he’s blackmailing them, but Aniruddh says he won’t tolerate any disrespect towards Jhanak.
Laal says it’s Aniruddh’s life and wishes him and Jhanak the best. Aniruddh comments that Laal changed after being betrayed by Bipasha, and tells Bipasha not to worry, as they won’t take revenge on her. Bipasha tries to justify her actions for Aniruddh’s well-being, but Aniruddh taunts her, telling her to focus on her own life. Bipasha asks how Aniruddh plans to insult her in front of Jhanak, and he responds that he will do so because he wants to.
Rimi says she won’t accept Jhanak as her sister-in-law, but Aniruddh tells her that Jhanak won’t respect her. He advises Jhanak not to cook and to relax in the house, telling her to only respect those who show her kindness. Jhanak looks at Aniruddh, and the scene ends.
