The episode begins with Jagdish and Om trying to cheer up Ragini. They comfort her until she smiles again. Om says he would even give up his life if it meant keeping them happy. Then, he excitedly shows his appointment letter to Jagdish and Isha, saying he’s been hired for a new job. Jagdish hugs him with pride, and Isha smiles, feeling happy for him. Gayatri comes downstairs and asks what the celebration is about. Om tells her about his job offer and says he will be joining from next week. He asks if she won’t congratulate him. Gayatri responds that she’ll wait until he actually settles into the job—if he sticks with it for a few days, then she’ll give him a proper hug and congratulations, but not before that. She then turns to Isha and reminds her that she’s rejoining the office the next day. Gayatri makes it clear that at the office, Isha is just an employee, not her sister-in-law, and she must keep personal life and professional life separate. Isha assures her that she will.
The next morning, Isha rushes through housework. Gayatri asks Acharya to get her saree. Isha hands him some ironed sarees belonging to Gayatri. But Gayatri doesn’t want those—she asks Acharya to press a different set of sarees and bring them to her in five minutes. Isha intervenes and says she should manage with the ones already pressed, just for today. Gayatri becomes angry and says she’ll show Isha how this house is really managed. She asks Janki how much they spend on groceries for a month. Janki replies it’s ₹25,000. Then Gayatri asks Acharya about his and Janki’s monthly medical expenses—he says ₹7,000. She moves on to Ragini, asking her about college fees and transport. Ragini says it’s ₹15,000. Gayatri then calculates everything, adding in other costs, and says the total comes close to ₹90,000 to ₹1 lakh every month. She declares that she’s the one who handles all these expenses and has been doing so for the past 8 years. Jagdish has contributed what he can, but the majority is handled by her. She questions if everyone has forgotten her contribution to the household.
Jagdish tries to calm her, asking why she’s speaking like this. But Gayatri tells him not to interfere—she’s talking to Isha. Gayatri then turns to Isha and reminds her that she had talked about contributing her and Om’s share of the household expenses, which would be around ₹50,000. She points out that Isha’s salary is only ₹25,000, and asks how she plans to pay ₹50,000 from that. Isha tries to explain that Gayatri is misunderstanding her, but Gayatri shuts her down. She says she’s had enough of Isha’s attitude and won’t tolerate it anymore. Gayatri insists that despite everything she’s done for this house over the years, people are starting to overlook her value.
Acharya sides with Gayatri and tells Isha that she is right—everyone in the house should contribute whatever they can to run the home. He tells Isha not to argue and offers to go iron the other sarees. But Gayatri stops him, saying there’s no need now. Her point has been made. She says it’s enough that everyone understands what she was trying to say, and for today, she’ll make do with the sarees she has.
