Full Story Summary
Titli is the story of a determined young woman who dreams of becoming a pilot, despite being hearing impaired. Her journey begins in childhood, when she is fascinated by different sounds. One day, a plane crashes nearby, and the deafening noise damages her eardrums. Her father rushes her to the hospital, where the doctors say she has survived but lost her ability to hear. Soon after, she visits the crash site and makes a vow to herself — one day, she will fly a plane.
Years pass, and Titli grows up with her dream still burning in her heart. To take a step closer to her goal, she moves to Kolkata to live in the home of her father’s wealthy friend, Aparesh Bose. Her challenge is not just her career — she must also win over everyone in the Bose family while hiding her deafness. She befriends Sunny, Aparesh’s youngest son, who is a cheerful YouTuber and food blogger. But their growing friendship doesn’t sit well with the family. Still, with Rekha (Sunny’s mother), Sunny, and Kinni supporting her, Titli feels safe.
Her secret is exposed when Rehana plays a cruel game, revealing Titli’s deafness in front of everyone. Humiliated and hurt, Titli decides to leave and live with her uncle, despite Sunny’s pleas for her to stay. Her closeness with Sunny sparks jealousy in Rehana, and Titli tries to distance herself. But Sunny begins to fall deeply in love with her and constantly worries for her safety. While Titli focuses on her career, Sunny refuses to let go.
One day, Sunny visits her home to check on her. They spend some time together, but nosy neighbors misinterpret the situation and publicly shame Titli for being alone with a rich boy. To protect her dignity, Rekha marries Sunny and Titli. Slowly, Titli’s friendship with Sunny turns into deep, unconditional love. But married life is not without challenges — Rehana, who loves Sunny, becomes determined to drive Titli out and destroy her dream of becoming a pilot, with the help of her brother Sudipto. Every time Rehana plots, Sunny steps in to protect his wife.
Titli travels abroad for career training and an eye treatment. In her absence, Adrija marries Anirban, and Deep makes a surprise return to the Bose mansion. Titli also makes a grand, unexpected entrance, stunning everyone. Later, she and Sunny share private moments, but when Sunny brings up Rehana, tensions rise. Babli claims Rehana has changed, but Sunny grows upset when Rekha openly says she loves Titli more than her own children. Soon, Rehana returns — in a wheelchair, claiming to be unwell.
After a family wedding, Titli decides to stay home instead of going to Delhi, but no one agrees. That night, Anirban kidnaps Adrija by making her unconscious. Later, Anirban causes chaos at an award ceremony, and Titli confides in Sunny that she faked an injury to expose him. The family celebrates Sunny’s birthday, and Titli gifts him her earnings to help him start his restaurant business.
When Titli travels to flood-hit Dehradun, she ignores a safety warning and disappears. Sunny rushes there, but Niladri rescues her and hides her identity, claiming her as his wife “Anamika” to shield his blind mother from the truth of his real wife’s death. Back in Kolkata, the Bose family believes Titli has died and performs her last rites. In reality, Sudipto, following Rahi’s orders, had tried to kill her by pushing her into floodwaters.
Over time, Titli begins to get flashes of her old memories. Meanwhile, Sunny fulfills her dream of opening his restaurant. The family plans Sunny’s marriage to Rehana — until Niladri walks into the restaurant with “Anamika.” Sunny immediately senses she is Titli. Rehana and Sunny visit Niladri’s house, but Niladri produces wedding photos of himself and Titli. On the day of Sunny and Rehana’s wedding, Titli storms into the ceremony and stops it, leaving Rehana furious.
One night, Sunny sneaks into Niladri’s place, smokes a cigarette to calm himself, and secretly takes Titli away. She disguises herself as a maid to visit Kinni, then later as a Punjabi man named “Balwinder” to enter the Bose house. The family tries to trigger her memory through staged incidents, but Sudipto learns of their plan and informs Rehana. One night, Rehana and Sudipto kidnap her. Her disappearance shocks everyone, and Sunny finally reveals that “Balwinder” was Titli.
Niladri brings the police to Sunny’s place, leading to a confrontation. Sunny escapes and takes Titli to a cockpit, where she finally regains her memory. She returns with him to the Bose mansion, but Rekha shocks her with a demand — to give up her dream of becoming a pilot. Titli sacrifices her goal for a while, but when her in-laws humiliate her and the truth of her struggles comes out, she leaves with Sunny. Together, they rescue Titli’s mother and bring her to Kolkata.
Sunny collapses one day, and Titli secretly takes his medical reports from the hospital. Meanwhile, Babli faints after learning she’s pregnant. One night, Sunny is kidnapped, and a lookalike named Nandan takes his place, behaving badly with the family. Titli suspects him, and eventually, the truth comes out when Nandan is caught and Shefali, his accomplice, is arrested.
The family celebrates Sindoorkhela, and in the end, Titli finally achieves her dream — she becomes a pilot, and Sunny watches proudly as she takes to the skies.
