The episode begins with everyone staring at Sachin and Sayali as they return home. Renuka becomes suspicious and thinks that Sachin must have created some problem at Sayali’s house, which made them come back early. Sayali starts to worry that people will question why they left so soon. Sachin’s grandmother notices that he has changed out of the special shirt Shobha gave him. Sayali quickly gives an excuse, but Renuka doesn’t believe her.
Meanwhile, Akash and Riya are planning a surprise celebration for Sachin and Sayali’s first wedding anniversary. Sachin doesn’t seem excited and is about to leave the house, but his father insists he should stay. In the kitchen, Roshni starts asking Sayali about their early visit to her family’s home. Sayali gets annoyed. Roshni reminds her that she didn’t like being questioned earlier either, and suggests they mind their own business going forward.
Later, Sayali angrily walks into her room and starts arguing with Sachin over his shirt. Their argument gets loud, and Riya and Aaji overhear everything. Aaji decides to lock them inside the room until they calm down and sort out their differences. Being locked together forces them to talk things through and make peace. After they finally come out of the room, they’re surprised to see the whole house being decorated.
Everyone asks them to get dressed for the anniversary celebration. Riya helps Sayali get ready and gives her a fresh look. Sachin later tells Tejas that he’s thankful Tejas backed out of the wedding, as it gave him the chance to marry Sayali. He admits he now sees her as the perfect life partner. As both get dressed for the celebration, they admire each other and share a quiet, happy moment. The romantic song “Aaj Ke Baad” plays in the background as they smile.
